What on earth is Trash the Dress Wedding Videography? This is a question we hear all the time so thought we’d post our recent press release to explain it for you…
Fearless brides worldwide are donning their wedding gowns for a second time to create these edgy productions. Usually filmed a few days after the wedding, these Trash the Dress video shoots allow for a more relaxed atmosphere where the newlyweds can express their true personalities. TTD sessions accentuate the striking contrast between the traditional wedding gown and the unlikely location of the bride. Couples usually select locations and settings which reflect their individual interests and lifestyles allowing for a truly personal and artistic creation.
Terry Zarchi, Los Angeles wedding videographer and owner of American Event Productions, has experienced a significant growth in the number of brides interested in TTD packages. “Brides are no longer satisfied with the traditional wedding videos that their mothers had,” Zarchi said. “They are looking for creative options and our Trash the Dress package allows them to be adventurous without the worry of keeping their dress clean for the wedding ceremony ”.
With most brides having no plans to wear their dress again, Trash the Dress sessions provide daring brides with an unconventional alternative to just storing the boxed dress under the bed or in a closet. “Unlike the name suggests, most dresses are usually not destroyed and show no more signs of distress than the wear and tear generated at a typical wedding reception,” Zarchi said. Nothing that a trip to the local dry cleaner can not correct!
Hope this helped to explain this exciting trend for you. As always, let us know in the comments below if you have any questions about our Trash the Dress services.
